Q&A
How did you get into sports?
Through my father! My father travelled the world to ride his BMX races. When I was 3 years old I was allowed to try it at the local BMX track in Ammerzoden. It went really well and since then I'm crazy about the sport and travel around the world to follow my passion.
What does an average week look like for you?
A lot of training at the moment! Besides that, I'm following the training Sports and Movement. I'm doing this at home and will finish it at my own pace.
How often do you train per week, how many hours and what does your training schedule look like?
I train 10 times a week on average, which comes down to about 15-20 hours. My schedule consists of endurance training on the MTB or road bike, track training, sprint training on the BMX, strength training and core stability training.
What are your goals/ambitions in life, both personal and sporting?
To get the best out of myself and to compete at the top of the sport.
Olympic Games 2024 Paris.
Why did you choose RXDGear?
BMX involves a lot of strength and explosiveness, so strength training is very important, especially in the winter months during the off-season. I have my own gym at home but I didn't have all the equipment I needed to train 100%. That's why I went looking for materials and came to RXDGear. I took a look inside the company and I am very enthusiastic about the products and the quality of materials they have to offer.
